To celebrate George Foreman's birthday, I figured I'd ask which "peak" version of George would win if matched up with one another.

'73 Vs '91, same corner that each of em had against Frazier and Holyfield respectively. The younger Foreman and his team gets access to footage from all of his elder's comeback fights pre-Holyfield, and the wiser George and his team get to review footage pre-Frazier. The older version and his team has their memory wiped of all events and fights past Frazier I to keep it fair.

90s George may have some success countering, but he never met an offensive freight train like younger George. I think it’s more likely 90s George gets blasted out of there early.

This has got to be either his favorite matchup, or his least favorite matchup. On one hand, George takes a lot of beating- And on the other hand, Foreman is always ahead.

Doctor stoppage due to Old George swelling up like a chipmunk, but Young George collapses from exhaustion just before the official stoppage, blanketing the fight in controversy.

Became a lot more composed and able to pace himself better later on in his career. Got better with the jab as well imo. I’ll take old Foreman by a narrow points win in a rough fight that sees both George’s swelled up pretty good.

Young George stops him. Old George wouldn't be able to keep him off him.

And the fight only lasted for 3 rounds (it’s all that young George’s cardio could handle)

If the old fart can survive those three first rounds he'll win,Idk how though since he also got rocked by the cruiserweight Holyfield(not underestimating his power, but for a supposedly good-chinned man with great weight advantage he shall probably endure a bit better)

Idk. Seems to me that older George was bigger and stronger than his younger self. Younger Foreman wasn't the most defensively sound and could walk into something big

While young George was the better h2h fighter, I think Old George would've had his number. Bigger, seemingly more durable, better defensively and more skilled and experienced.

I think younger George builds up an overwhelming early lead, with older George surviving and even doing better in the late rounds, as younger George starts to tire. Verdict: exhausted younger George gets the nod over swelled up older George by 12 round decision.

Observers frequently comment on older Foreman's loss of youth and power but few comment on the balletic footwork the younger version had. It was most in evidence when he destroyed Frazier by befuddling him with the same.

The later Foreman up circa 1991 still had it to an extent.Though he was obviously not as fleet footed it was there in the annihilation of Gerry Cooney.
