No use posting this. If there is anyone out there that didn't see that he was fairly shot in the Murray fight, and completely shot in the Cotto fight, they are too stupid to reason with. Period.

 

Chavez Jr almost KO'd him in 2012. I knew by then he wasn't really himself anymore. He was on decline. It became more evident with the Murray fight. A prime Martinez would make it a Holmes vs Ali sort of tragedy for Murray, instead he arguably lost it on points. That's exactly why Cotto took that fight, he knew Martinez's titles were there up for grabs. That's also why I disrespect Cotto a great deal for not going against GGG. This is not how a true champ plays. He's an outright coward for all I care.

 

But Martinez at 75% was still good enough to knock out cotto from at least 75% of boxing fans who voted on polls....so according to the majority of people there was pretty much no chance given to cotto to win... i was apart of the 25% that predicted a knockout and insisted to anyone who listened that Martinez was indeed an injury prone fighter, and sure nuff one of those left hooks buckled his knees so bad that he fought the rest of the fight injured...Full credit should still be given to cotto, because martinez knew the risks and still signed the contract and was fully confident he would beat the smaller cotto...

 

WTF is this spinning about?! He wasn't injured coming in but injury prone and Cotto caused the injury?!

 

Cotto is looking to make money this late in his career. He already made a mark in his career and fought everyone the fans wanted him to. GGG demolishing an army of bums isn't even going to make it on PPV against Cotto.

 

So which opponent do you think Cotto can get and make more money than he'd make vs GGG? It's not like he's going against Floyd or Pac again, he already declined Canelo, so I doubt there's anyone left to fight him who will provide him with a bigger cheque.

 

i know this man....if youve read any of the threads about cotto or ggg ive echoed a similar sentiment....

 

the canelo fight can still happen man...timing not right at the moment

 

The reason Canelo is fighting Kirkland is that they couldn't get a response from Cotto. He could fight Canelo if he wanted to.
