Because DLH holds no value other than money. DLH has fought three times over the past four years uncluding the fight with Mayweather. Before Mayweather he fought Mayorga after taking all of 2005 off after losing to Hopkins. I have no problem with him taking time off from boxing, but don't do a Wrestlemania in the middle of you're "layoff". And don't fight DLH when you could be fighting the best at 147 or 154. Ellerbe spoke of how long it took Floyd to get on PPV and he wasn't about to throw it away for somebody like Cotto but doesn't taking Cotto even less time to get on PPV make him worthy enough? I hate this **** it's not fair to the fans he should be fighting somebody else or not fighting at all. And sure as hell not doing a Wrestlemania and DLH in the same year.

If ODH loses Floyd will fight hatton again...hatton has to lose too. Did you hear Ellerbe's cop outs to not fighting Cotto. It is pathetic. He ADMITTED that us die hard fans want the fight but it wont bring a mainstream audience. I just want to keep him informed that us die hard fans keep the sport alive and there is no boxing without us guys that talk about this **** everyday while others just chime in occasionally not knowing much about the sport.

So Floyd must take a hard fight right off the bat, he can't take a warm up fight? Right..

DLH won't lose this fight, no way. I don't want to see Mayweather fight DLH in a rematch either and won't back it up. Mayweather is better off fighting the winner of Margarito/Cotto, a DLH rematch is pointless. Though the first fight was extremely close but it's just done with and I'm sure the public would rather see anyone else in there with Mayweather than DLH. Bring on Cotto or Margarito instead.

Shouldn't the P4P best be taking the hard fights? I'm okay with a warm up fight just not DLH again.

The majority verdict among fans on here seems to be in favour of the Cotto-Mayweather bout, and I agree.

I'm hoping for a pre-fight fishnet-stocking-suffocation-incident in the De la Hoya changing room. If not Oscar will beat Forbes and we will have our PBF-DLH rematch:|

I don't know. Cotto is a P4P dude, he just fought Gomez.I think is some kind of trend.

    You're being ridiculous and disrespectful.
You honestly consider DLH as a warm-up? :patsch, the first fight was extremely close and many(including myself, a big-time Mayweather fan) scored it for DLH. Tune-ups don't end in SDs which is why a rematch isn't totally out of the question.

Yes but Cotto isn't the P4P best and the only way he will be is through Mayweather. If Floyd wanted to fight Cotto or Margarito it may have happened already this year. In Margarito's case it would've happened a long time ago.

I'll give you that he ducked Tony, but Arum has not attempted formal negotiations against the P4P King. Since when does a King have to challenege the Challenger? If Cotto and Arum were serious they would do everything in their power to challenege the Champ.

Might as well be the guy fought 4 times outta the past 4 years leading up to the Mayweather fight. Took all of 2005 off. It's not like the first fight was meant to be a tune up so what's you're point?

Yeah he got the belt.. Good for him. Now fight some other guys at 154 or fight the guys his age at 147. Mayweather could just be in better matchups which may not make him a winner but it should be for boxing and the fans. Doing WrestleMania while having plans for a DLH rematch is just all wrong for boxing. Were getting dicked while a guy like Pacquiao is giving us what we want. If he ends the year with WrestleMania and another DLH win he is just no longer worthy of that P4P best privelage.

Other than having a belt DLH wasn't worth a damn at this point last year. Tell me where did you have him ranked this time last year after only fighting Mayorga in 06 and taking a whole year off after beating Hopkins!?
