He's 2 levels below even the current Mosely that Cotto already beat. Cintron losing again to Margarito proves nothing new about Margarito.

 

I think Antonio gives Cotto a scare here and there, but Cotto takes the UD... I really can't see a knockout for either guy.

 

faster hands, superior footwork, power, better jabs, cotto by late stoppage. this wont even be close.

 

All of you who fail to see Margarito as being in the same class as Cotto are in for a surprise. Right now I'm leaning towards Cotto by close decision but it could easily go the other way!

 

This is a great fight and I like both guys.
The math is very simple: 1 Great puerto rican fighter plus 1 great mexican fighter = WAR! I'll say cotto outboxes Margo to win a close but clear decision.

 

If Cotto uses his brain first (defends himself @ all times) then he shiould win by a convincing decision with 1 or 2 shakey moments. If Cotto goes for broke to try to proove something, then all bets are off.

Completely agree, and although my avatar kinda gives me away, there's no doubt that any reference to Marg being a favoured in this match up due to styles, chin, record or any other fantasy advantage, has clearly not studied the irrespective fighters prior to the Cintron and Gomez results.

Margarito won 8 rounds of that Clottey fight and did not cry about his hurt hand like Clottey did

 

Cotto is a much better boxer than Margarito but I have a feeling Margarito's relentless pressure and solid chin will tire out Cotto and possibly win him a TKO somewhere in the 10th or 11th rounds.
