Haye beating both brothers then retiring isn't ideal but I don't think it's bad for the division. Afterwards, Wlad would probably just start collecting the belts again in a series of boring fights. The most Haye can do is spark a bit of excitement among the Heavyweights but is that such a bad thing?
Wladimir Klitschko has CLEARLY beat ALL of the best fighters that he fought. Wlad's only losses came against fighters that the entire world expected him to walk over. Sanders, Brewster, and Purrity are definitely NOT even close to the best fighters that Wlad has fought. Not even close.
Not if Haye retires. Obviously the best case scenario is Haye beating the Klits, not retiring, becoming THE heavyweight champion and establishing a reign. But unless Haye is bluffing, that's not going to happen.
Yes you can say Haye hasn't beaten anyone at heavyweight because there is nobody out there. If he beats wlad, then the only other live heavy weight out there is vitali, if he beats vitali whats the point of continuing to box because there is absolutely no one else out there in this dreadful heavyweight division.
I've thought about this and I can't get past my national bias. I want there to be as many possible english champs as possible. That being said it would be a great boxing story if the brothers hold ever belt, plus the fact haye is a dick prevents anyone really being a fan of his. So basically it's win win for me.
Haye brutally KO's Wlad early, then Wlad retires. Vitali brutally KO's Haye in the mid-rounds of a great war for complete unification. (Late 2011) VK successfully defends against Adamek, Povetkin, Boystov & Pulev in 2012 (At least 2 of those 4). Then VK retires at the end of 2012, truly Great at last.
If by chance Haye pulls it off vs Wlad, and that's a big IF, and he goes on to defeat Vitali before years end, I'll give him the credit he currently thinks he deserves. If he goes on to lose to Wlad, then Vitali, we should all then begin to rethink our position on how truly weak this division is, instead KNOWING how truly dominant the K bros simply are.
So, what happens if Haye wins? Does that highlight that the Klitschko's really aren't that good? The funny thing with forums is the same fans claiming that Haye is a chinny, blown up Cruiserweight, will after (if) he loses claim its a Great win by the Klitschko's - you can't really have it both ways. I think all 3 are very good fighters and whoever wins and how they deserve the respect and plaudits that come with victory. But I do believe Haye has alot more to gain from victory than the brothers as he goes in as the underdog.
Agree. Why want to have a fighter win that only wants to retire afterwords. WTF would that do for the division....Nothing. Now if he did win and went on to continue fighting, and I mean fighting top competition, I would give him props for that. But I think he does want to retire...and my brain is telling me Haye loses anyways. Peace
Haye would be terrible for the sport if he became a champion at heavy, the good news is he has no chance of beating Wlad.
I can't wait for Vitali or Vlad to knock Haye out!!!!!!! Haye has broken two contracts with Klitschkos, one signed and one implied...........will Haye show up this time? Klitschkos are exciting, highest knockout ration in heavyweight history and they fight often, they fight everyone, only the best out there, unlike Haye who rarely fights and has not fought anyone who is any good.
