Better than Carl's, what does Carl have to do to better Joe's resume?

    Huge Fan of Both.

I would argue Avenge Ward and the resume is better.

Whilst I would agree that Calzaghe's resume is weak in places it, this gets overstated by his detractors.

Some of the fighters he beat were much better than people now give them credit for.

An Example of these are Robin Reid and Byron Mitchell.

He beat a 43 year old B-Hop in the US with a US referee and 3 US judges. And even now (5 years later), B-Hop is still at the top in the LHW division.
And he beat a younger version of Kessler.

The B-Hop feat alone still ranks him over Froch imo, although I like Carl better.

    Tocker's not availble.

I think Nathan Cleverley is fighting him in his next Superfight Defence!!!

Wasn't Pudwill a late replacement? Shocking fight either way!!

Joe has an excellent record and is still a good way ahead of Froch. Calzaghe will always have been a better fighter than Froch no matter who Froch fights. Even if he goes on to KO Hopkins, Hopkins is what 49?!! If he avenges his loss to Ward, he still lost to him in the first place. If he has a third war with Kessler, Calzaghe beat prime Kessler back in 2007?!

I don't think there is anything Froch can do from now until he retires to have a better record than Joe. For me Joe is the best ever at SMW.

Hopkins,Eubank,Kessler,Bika,Reid,Lacy,Mitchell,Sheika all top wins and performances.

I like Froch more than i do Joe so im not biased!!

  11. Good post

    Unbiased opinion

I'm also more of a fan of froch but they can't be compared,Calzaghes resume is far better than credited
    Hopkins,jones jnr,Kessler,Lacey,eubank,Reid,bika,Mitchell,Sheika,brewer,woodhall etc
Frochs is deservedly held up to acclaim in these days of safe defences of titles
    Kessler,bute,pascal,Abraham,Taylor,Johnson,dirrell,Magee,mack etc

Calzaghe fought more times to date and more title fights

How about we all just celebrate them for what they are which is 2 world class boxers Britain should be proud of

Agree with most points, think as well froch could do with beating a young lion like groves, a victory which may not mean a lot now but ten years from now will look better and better like Lewis/bitchsko.

If Froch beats Ward, he becomes Lineal champ, like Joe did, and then his level of competition exceeds that of Joe. It would be undisutable.

Bika would be a tough fight for Froch.

Bika's a tough fight for anyone, he's a tough dirty ****er.

You could argue that he gave Ward a tougher fight than Froch did.
