For the record, Canelo cannot beat Mayweather ever...

Not unless Mayweathers body breaks down from punching him repeatedly in the face.

 

First of all Canelo is slow and only fights half of a round how is he supposed to out point Mayweather???? Mayweather will box circles around Canelo .....Canelo is flat footed, how is a flatfooted guy who throws 400 punches a fight supposed to out point safety first potshot and run Mayweather? the only way is for Canelo to land a huge shot somwhow, don't expect Mayweather to take a any chances or make it easy for Canelo to land .

Canelo simply doesn't have the hand or footspeed. Canelo is banking on power well power works only when you have the workrate and turn the fight into to a war of attrition think Rocky Marciano, the Rock relentlessly hammered his opponents all 15 rds, Canelo does not have this savage push he lacks the stamina.

 

Canelo does have some good hand speed.

You'd be surprised how many punches FLoyd throws per fight. Research it yourself. Mayweather rarely throws more than 500. As for Canelo, that was the lowest output in probably his whole career for a 12 round fight.

 

I wish Canelo had better stamina. I dislike Mayweather and can't wait to see him lose, but not sure if it's the current Canelo. The young man has tremendous skill, good power, good hand speed, but not enough work rate in the later rounds. I'm sure he could take Mayweather's punches than anybody though so perhaps that'd be something in his favor.
Regardless of what happened to Pac, I think at this point I still put my $ on somebody like Pac to take down Mayweather. You have to be warrior enough to fight through Mayweather's slickness and pop shots, you have to have speed to catch him, between Mayweather's clinching and elbows you really can't fight him on the inside much (Pac has no inside game so it doesn't matter), and being southpaw is a good thing. Even RG caught him with some nice left body shots in the first couple of rounds, but he wasn't fast enough to land to the head. Not saying Pac still wins for sure (I dunno how he looks after he got knocked out hard), but I'd pick him to beat Mayweather before a gassed out Canelo, or an old Martinez.

 

I feel you man haha. As a Canelo fan, If he had great stamina, that kid would be a MAJOR problem for anybody. It's a strange life. The kid has a lot of potential but his physical is his problem, not the boxing ha.

 

this is the first fight i would pick against floyd since dlh. floyd would wear down trying to hold him in the clinches and i dont think floyd can hit hard enough to discourage canelo from throwing combinations. i think he would catch floyd... and he would hurt him.
