It's a ticking clock for Floyd, which is why he should loosen up from his typical hardball negotiating tactics to make sure this fight gets done by September. I'd still favor Floyd in that scenario, and comfortably.

The longer the fight is delayed, the more it's going to shift in Canelo's favor. At his current rate of improvement, Winter 2014 is when I'd edge Alvarez to take the torch. He still needs more seasoning against top flight opponents to prepare himself for Floyd, but the gap is closing.
