Havent been to Wembley in quite some time but from what I remember there is little to do close to the venue. Are there any pubs/bars close? I imagine getting the tube so close to doors opening that it will be rammed, so thought about heading down a little earlier. Thanks in advance
Doing the tourist thing in the day, back to the hotel and then to the show. Few questions tough... 1) Any decent places to get some grub nearby? 2) What time would be best to get to the show? About 6/6.30?
When I have been to Wembley in the past I have been to either the Blue Room or The Green Man both decent pubs and a lot cheaper than inside the stadium. I think i'll probably be in The Green Man on fight day!
covent garden during the day then tube to wembley early afternoon. heading to the globe tavern pub in wembley, rather drink in there than pay the stadium prices
The pubs and bars are always rammed in the area. If anyone wants a few drinks by the stadium itself, I always go to the 1966 bar, it's right outside the stadium entrance on the left. Not many people seem to know about it, but everytime I go you can get to the bar and toilet easily and not wait very long.
the green man, been there a few times was there with the bayern fans at the champions league final a few years ago before i went froch kessler, been most places around wembley an i would say thats the best
Depends on the rules of the Venue. M.E.N didn't allow drink at seats when i last went there but some other venues allow it. Hope you can as its ball ache having to stand in the bar to drink and miss fights etc
the BBBoC changed the rules regarding drinking at your seats a couple of years ago. You can now drink at your seats at arenas unless inner ringside. not sure if Wembley has its own rules though
Not so sure you can drink at Wembley. Mates come back from FA cup and said really strict you have to drink at the bar only. No searches though
It's an FA rule that you can't drink within view of the pitch not sure if that will apply at Wembley for Boxing . I have never had a problem before though with drinking at your seat at a boxing show.
Yeah that's only the law for football, I doubt it will apply for the boxing. It didn't last time I went to watch rugby there. Getting the tube to Ministry Of Sound afterwards...going to be a long session!
