I didn't log onto ESB that night as I had a house full of people over to watch the fight.

I was thrilled with the result.

Roy was never the same after that shot. He was always timid going forward unless he was in against extremely overmatched guys.

The sad thing is, Roy had the talent to still be good. He could have beaten Tarver in the rubber match if he took risks, and I think the fifth round proved that.

But he was content just surviving and has never really tried to win against elite level opposition ever since.

**** watched both fights at a local bar.... The first fight we all had a feeling...

You gotta think, that was the first live body Jones fought since Hops.... That guy was fed cake through HBO...

Back to basics... Jones was very good but ruled a weak division and never went outside his comfort zone or country to find a challenge...

    I'm insulted.......

Just so you know, I'm not that type of person.

When the day comes that Pacquiao goes down in flames, I wont be rubbing it in. I'll let the *******s mourn proper without having to listen to any type of nonsense from me.

The more educated *******s that have been in this forum the longest, know I would'nt do that to them.

.....btw, there is hope for the human race.......on the thread topic about how this forum was like the night Jones got KTFO....you would think the forum would be littered with anti-Roy sentiments as this forum has always had both pro Jones fans and anti Jones haters.......
.....but that night both sides were in shock. No one really expected it to end that way for Roy Jones.
So that night there was not alot of posters in here rubbing it in......, mostly there was real debate on how Tarver was able to land that shot, and how it had come to this for Roy Jones.

........there was even a thread that suggested that Tarver had closed his eyes and landed a lucky shot.

I was at a Hooters with seemingly dozens and dozens if not hundreds of people - and nothing. I yelled "WHAT????!!!???" at the top of my lungs inadvertently without realizing as Jones crumpled to the canvas. Looked up and realized the whole place was staring at me for a few seconds. ****ing ****s. Probably the single reason I cannot ****ing stand so called fans of "sports" like football, baseball, and basketball. They didn't have the first clue. Not ONE. OUT****INGRAGEOUS. I know what a goddamn runback is. I know what a cycle is. I know what a broken backboard is. They know dick. ****.
