to call it 47 pounds is a bit misleading. considering: he was draining badly to make 175, looking like a skeleton. i believe his ideal weight is just over 195. so while he was hurting himself making light heavy, he's bulking up the same amount (20 plus pounds) as he was taking off. basically at cruiser he was "even". i just see him as gaining 20-pounds, not 47-pounds.

I dont know exactly what does this "bulking" mean, but I just see one thing. I noticed it when I am in the gym and eat properly I am gaining mass, so as long as I train this is my natural weight. I think its the same with Adamek. He just started eat how much he wants and train harder
so this 220 is now his natural mass. It all depends on how much you train and if you eat properly :good

His last weight at LHW = 174. Current weight = 222/That is a 48lb difference.

He may have been slimming to make 175, but that is where he spent almost his entire career, before moving up 2 years ago. He spent it fighting light heavies, guys that move, punch like light heavies, and also are used to receiving LHW punches. He has since moved up 48 pounds since his fight with Dawson. Fighting bigger, stronger opponents, then he has throughout his whole career. There is more to those 48 pounds then what he weighs at home after eating a couple plates of pierogi.

Lots of fighters walk around at much higher weights then they fight at. You can't take a move up of such significant weight away from him, since there is a big difference in the world of LHW that he was used to, and the world of HW he is getting into.

He had to make these 175 for weigh-in, but during the fight he was probably 185-190

Now thats a p4p talent. Moving up the weight classes 20 pounds at a time. Damn!!!

The scary thing is he is destroying opponents as he moves up and its not like the lower weight classes where to get to the next division u just gain 5 pounds.

Adamek could very well revive Heavyweight boxing.

    Please give us Haye-Adamek.

He looked great against Golota. Basically completely owned him for 5 rounds. WAY more impressive than all of the HW debuts lately.

Probably on fight night was weighing in a bit more, but I don't think 15lbs.. Any links anywhere of post or pre-fight weights? Would be interesting to see.

But none-the-less, my point was that he was fighting LHWs his whole life, and now he has moved up to fight HWs. Different world. I don't think it's fair to take his move up from weigh in weights of 48lbs away from him. Because when it comes down to it, his body did it a day before fight night, and the scale didnt lie. On top of that, so far has done it very successfully, while maintaining many of his LHW and CW attributes.

Adamek seems very basic to me, but there is nothing wrong with basic boxing.

Power + acceptable speed + good timing + staimina + work rate + boxing 101 = winning combination.

If he wins the HW title, then he will be the first fighter ever who had belts in 3 the highest-weight boxing division (175, 200, HW). Its would be really huge.

I have the fight with Golota on my hard drive and when I want to see a heavy beating I just watch it :D And respect to Andrew that he ended the fight on his feet after taking such punishment from Adamek. These combinations after the KD in 5th rounds were very devastating

This would be great, and I believe with his heart, confidence, and determination he can do it.
