I was supposed to make a thread about it but it's not worth it. JMM will throw in the towel in Round 7. Pac will knock him out of the ring in the 5th round but will continue to fight. Round 7 will be the end of it all when JMM decided to slug it out cause his legs can't do some running anymore. Fight will end in 2:35 seconds in the 7th round....

 

That said I would give anything for JMM to spark Manny in 3 rounds...I will laugh my ****ing nuts off...it will be one of the better times in my "sports fan" life, simply to see the crying, excuse making, crazy, suicidal, jack asses scrambling around trying to make sense of what happened and save some kind of face. It would be really amusing...

How can you make the he's "MUCH better" at this weight than his fight with PBF? Based on what?

His last fight against Ramos he was 138 coming up to 144 (6 lbs), PBF fight he was 135 coming up to 142 (7 lbs)...how is this time different from last time outside of you trying to deminish the value of PBF's complete domination and elevate Manny's expected win?

 

I can see a scenario where JMM fights off the back-foot and counters for much of the fight which would extend his night.

Likeliest conclusion, imo, is Pac hurting him in the mid rounds and this time not letting up until the fight is stopped.

I'd feel bad for Pacquiao, but in sheer delight to see the faces of Roach and Ariza who grant themselves more credit by opening up their big mouths, than they really merit for Pacquiao's success.

There is no shock value in seeing Pac blow away a blown up 38 year old lightweight.

reason1: floyd weighed above the catchweight agreement.
reason2; pacquiao and marquez are naturally the same size as one another than floyd and marquez.
reason3: marquez has not weighed yet and would probabaly weigh just at 142 again and this is the 3rd time marquez would fight above 135. floyd was his first fight above 135.

Well for one, he's hired a strength and conditioning coach to help him gain quality mass, whereas against Floyd his strategies were drinking **** and rock tossing.

 

When you go up in weight against Floyd, Floyds the bad guy. When Floyd moves up in weight, if he doesn't dominate, and he looks ordinary to *******s, he loses. When Pacquiao moves up in weight and wins, he's superman. When guys move up against Pacquiao, its legit. Ask Pacquiao fans.

 

I agree with you that Marquez will try and be more explosive and wont be as wild or willing to engage as much as before. IE - The counter punches he throws or the punches he initiates will be powerful, 2 and 3 punch combos designed to hurt Manny (or make him dance like you said), but he'll step out of there after 3 punches this time, thus conserving energy and cutting Manny's chances of catching him.

I think you're right that there may be some sort of reversal at times (I think Pacquiao will be more patient), with Marquez striking first and Manny on his toes.

I'm still taking Pacquiao's power to win the day though divac, there's too much evidence to suggest Manny is more suited at this weight and I think he'll be more clinical this time, too strong.
