What about the punch stats? 253-159 for Pac?

Can a fighter win when landing nearly 100 less punches?

Yes, if the punches landed were meaningful. Bradley's most certainly were not. Pac was treating them as some kind of joke.

Punchstat/Compubox are bull**** when it comes to scoring fights. Great for making predictions but bull**** just like watching in slow motion when scoring fights.
Bradley got the win because he was the effective agressor. Pacquiao landed the better shots but what else did he do? He was never really able to land more than two at a time and usualy one at a time. Bradley was able to get into Pacquiao's chest. While he never really hurt him, Bradley was able to do work on the inside. This is important because your soposed to score based on what you see at real or as close to real speed as you can. I say as close to real speed, because if your watching on TV the speed is slightly slowed down. It is completaly subjective. The one thing you can't do if you want an honest card is to look at the stats or watch on slow mo.
This bout played out like Khan/Peterson. In which one boxer landed the better punches and the other while not really hurting the other guy did more work and set the tone of the fight. In both cases the guy who set the pace won the fight. Bradley was able to make this fight go on his terms. He was able to get inside where he needed to be where everyone including the judges knows he's at his best.
In short Bradley is the WBO welterweight champion because he made the fight.

The rounds Pacquiao won he won more decisively. He killed him in 3-4-5, but as far as official scoring which is round by round, this was a close fight.

All 3 cards had it 1-1 after 2 (and that's fair.) All 3 cards had Bradley winning 9-10-12 (which he clearly won because Pacquiao never connected one punch in those 3 rounds), so we're already at 4 rounds for Bradley.

From there, it's up for discussion. 115-113 on either side is not a bad score, based on the rules of scoring

Its based on rounds, and Pac won the rounds. This decision was B.S
