Well, if you were smart you would realize that your opinion means nothing more than any other fans' opinion.

Especially on the internet where there is no accountability for what is said.

It's just an opinion. You have yours, he has his, I have mine. And that's all it is.

Very easy Jaun Manuel Marquez, started at 126 then went all the way up to fight and Knock out one of the top 2 P4P fighters in the world, Manny Pacqiao who also did something far more incredible than Mayweather, Pacquiao started at 108 and ended up beating a very good fighter at 150. so there you go Juan Manuel Marquez. HAHA may is not even top 2 in this generation. No se mojen

Judging from what he has done in the ring and how he has dominated the opposition, you would have to say that he is one of the best ever. But as great as he is in the ring, he is also the biggest chicken I have seen, and that substracts from his greatness. He should have fought Pacquiao, and some will say that it was Pac´s fault, some will say that it was May´s fault, but youtube doesn´t lie, and the whole "what if I get hurt" is just more telling than anything I could say about him. Then says he´ll fight the winner of Williams-Martinez...Maravilla puts poor Paul to sleep, and the name Martinez was forever eclipsed from May´s vocabulary. So, however talented he is, however much of a ring master he is, he can´t be GOAT because of the fact that he is a *****

You listen to what boxers say in interviews and treat it as gospel?

You must believe in a whole lot of crazy delusional nonsense then.

How about Team Pacquiao has publicly stated they walked away from negotiations for failure to agree on a more-than-usual drug testing protocol?

They both could have gone down as pioneers for voluntary drug testing in athletics and now only Mayweather will have that recognition.

    It's a shame...

No, regarding the Pac-May fight, I just know that there was so much back and forth finger pointing that it is hard to know what really happened behind closed doors. I am not blaming one side or the other on negotiations...but I do know -and that video does not lie- that May wanted no part of Pac.

I know that apparently Pac´s side did not agree to the drug testing proposed, but I also know there were money issues, and it just seems like a situation where if it was not one thing it was going to be the other. Anyway, this topic has been discussed to death in this and other forums. No consensus will ever be reached.

    This!!!

Floyd is a great fighter... But the hype is getting ridiculous right now.. He is no where near the top 15... I think anyone who knows boxing would agree.

Floyd missed his biggest chance to be considered with the top 15.. Dominating prime Pac would have had him there. But we all know he feared for his health..

He missed the greatest fighter of his generation other than himself.. This should not be overlooked.

Bob Fitzsimmons a MW who nearly cleaned out the HW division.. Knocking out the HW champ with a body shot? In terms of "greatness" I think it qualifies, and surpasses..

Muhammad Ali, past prime knocked out a young Foreman who would later come back and reclaim the lineal title 20 years later?? That was more impressive than beating Canelo as well...

Floyd is missing that signature win against a prime "great" fighter...

I still consider Floyd and Roy to be in the same category... Both are two of the best ever, but greatest has a different meaning, neither of them are there.

i felt sadness that no one mentioned Fitzsimmons becoming the only former Middleweight champ to become Heavyweight champ. but then got to the last page to find Mind Reader saved the day.

that one win at Heavy is better than Floyd's entire resume. so no, he isn't the GOAT.

he's the greatest Ducker in history. but not the best.

I think roy in his early days it about as great a fighter who is been in a boxing ring. Srr is the greatest in my opinion. But roy in 96 - 97 was very close .

  15. More impressive than ducking Manny and winning against bums like De La Hoya who got their ass kicked by Sturm or shot versions of JMM or glass jawed jokes like Hatton??

    There are plenty ..
