think again, pascal has never even been put on the canvas, he has an iron jaw, went toe to toe with froch in a great slugfest fight at 168...pascal has a granite chin, he is not getting ko...that being said, i think kovalev wins this in a UD fashion ...if pascall gets lucky, he might get a draw, depending how the fight goes and how the judges see it...i mean he got a draw against bhop, i think there is always the possibility it could happen again, but i see kovalev winning a 12 round UD....no way this is ending in a ko...pascal has no power, but kovalev wont be able to crack that granite
Pascal is awkward, athletic, has respectable power and has a good chin. Plus, he's fighting at home. He a very, very live dog.
Had Kovalev opened up earlier in the Hopkins fight he would have gotten him outta there too. An iron jaw can only help so much. I believe 16 out of 18 predictions at the Ring website have Kova by T/KO.
bute had pascal in trouble in the 12th round of their fight. that was while hardly throwing a punch the first eleven rounds.
This is true. Pascal is decent enough to upset, though I'm picking Kovalev via decision. Kovalev will fight anyone, even in their back yard and ducks no man. This is the mark of a champion. Sometimes fighters get labled a certain way. Yes--Kovalev is a very good puncher. But he's also smart with good boxing skills too.
The first 3 rounds of Kovalev-Pascal (if it last that long) will look like Pascal Bute Round 12. Pascal has "power" yet couldn't hurt Bute, who has a glass jaw.
respect to both men for taking this fight and trying to give the fans a great fight. That's all it comes down to. I'm ok with anyone of the winning cause they are both solid contenders wanting to fight the best and nothing more. May the best man win!
Be nice to see Pascal make a fight of it but I think he getss topped in spite of having a good chin. Pascal was outworked by Hopkins twice and Kov has a better workrate and hits much harder. Pascal will have some initial success by my prediction is he gets worn down and stopped in nine.
I hope Pascal kicks his A$$, and Kovalev Couldn't get a 50 year old man outta there he isn't stopping Pascal..:-( The fight being in Montreal I smell some hometown cooking coming, I seriously doubt those lovely French Canadians have any love for Russians:verysad...
