Strong but robotic, where are his opponents that actually move side to side.

I dont think i've seen a more robotic fighter than him in recent times, his fans are building him up crazily just in time for Joe to embarass him and retire a god in the UK

Yep. Calzaghe/Pavlik will be the biggest 'I told you so' fight to the US fans since LAcy/Calzaghe.

Even though I tipped Lacy, though that was more out of lack of knowledge of Calzaghe and me wanting to see him get beaten.

Pav is really effective in what he does but his style will be made to look foolish by Joe if he is on song

Yeh, against a mediochre opponent Pavlik looked impressive. Im still, and have been until now, of the opinion that he is overrated.

As pecks has pointed out already, Pavlik/JC fight will be an "I told you so" fight.

Hold your horses lads , Pavlik will be made to look foolish by none , this proposed fight will be the toughest of Calzaghe's career imo , its no secret that Joe is on the slide and Pavlik is showing all the qualitys needed to pull off the win , in fact i would slightly favour Pavlik here in 2008 and place him as an odds on favourite in 2009 , Well done Gary Lockett .

Pavlik seems to have good killer instinct. When his opponent's hurt he lands smart and effective punches to finish them off. I don't think he'll be able to hurt calzaghe to this extent and calzaghe would just be that little to awkward for him imo. I would like to see this fight though, very intresting.

Good performance by Kelly, but Lockett was never going to pose a threat to him. It's a lot easier to hit an opponent who stands right in front of you then one who moves from side to side. Don't get me wrong Kelly hits very hard and is a great finisher, but I worry that he will get hurt himself if he fights an opponent who gives angles and fires back. Kelly V Mundine? Well I won't make a commemt until I see Mundine fight at middle and against a creditable opponent!!

Lets be serious here, Lockett was overmatched and had no power. Pavlik is good but he could be a touch overrated by many in the US. Calzaghe will pressure him all night and frustrate Pavlik .

Honestly guys Kessler wld finish that Lockett guy just as convincinly as Pavlik did and we saw what Calzaghe did to Kessler.

I'd love to see Pavlik vs Kessler or Calzaghe.

Imo, Calzaghe would give him fits. He's got too much tools for Pavlik, and his angles would make Pav look foolish.

Though teke doesn't base his pick on skills or whatnot, he's tipping Calzaghe simply because he's the blacker out of the two. :p
