Don't get on your high horse putting "fans" in quotes. ;) If you want to talk WWE its the people giving Haye stick that are attaching so much importance to WWE style "calling out".

Strike, Haye lied. We know that. He won't be the first for the last boxer in a similar situation to do that.

Go easy on the people who are going to watch Haye-Harrison, I'd guess a decent number of the boxing fans on here who are going to the fight are going to be part of an event. Its not as grand as "endorsing" the fight or "buying into" what Haye has done over the last year or so, its "just" a night out at a big boxing event, its going to happen whether they attend or not.

I went to Haye-Ruiz for similar reasons, I wasn't a fan of either boxer and with Ruiz' track record I wasn't expecting a great fight but I wanted to attend an world heavyweight title fight when I had the chance. I reckon a lot of the guys on here who are going to Haye-Harrision will have a similar attitude.

    Nail on the head, Gaz.

It's a **** fight, we all know that. Audley is a joke opponent and Haye is a '*****' for picking him. It's been happening in boxing for years.

Nonetheless, it's still a world heavyweight title fight, and an all-British one at that. The chance to see these on our shores are few and far between.

It's gonna be a huge event and I'm gonna be happy to be there.

The event is why i tried to attend the Ruiz fight, and why I will try and attend this one when my wages arrive into my currently baron bank account. Its more to do with one of those things that you want to do before you die, and one of mine is attend a Heavyweight World Title fight and i believe however farcical this affair may be, it would put a tick beside that event on my list :good

It's a world title fight in name only and nothing else unfortunately.

I'm sure the fight will do well financially through merely being between two local heavyweights and it being called a world title fight.

Not everyone on here has been to an All-british World heavyweight title fight, they dont come around that often (legitamate ones anyway ie not a nigerian involved) so good luck em if they want to go for an experience and a good night out. Im with Gaz on that, if fans wanna pay the money they work for on this noone has a right to have a pop at them

Ruiz was mando but its either a legit title/ belt or its not. Surely a mandatory defense for a worthless belt is no more valid a title fight than a voluntary defence for a worthless belt?

Boxing fans like us need to remember that most people know jack **** about boxing and Haye fighting a "name" like Audrey will actually get better ticket sales viewing figures than if Haye fought a live opponent such as adamek.

    Sad but true.

Legacy is great and all that, but it dont pay the bills, so we have joke fights. Still, on the bright side we get to watch Audrey being badly sparked one last time.
