I'm not sure. Do casual punters want to see a great contest between two evenly-matched opponents, or do they want to see an inside two rounds demolition job and at the end rave about how Haye is the best thing since Ali?

 

you reckon it'll do 750,000, i'll be surprised if it does anywhere near that amount, mind you they're promoting the fight very well,so you could be right. we'll have to see. i won't buy the fight, i already know what the outcome will be, haye will smash him apart.

 

But Audleys resume and his career in general is on par with say Khan deciding to fight David Barnes as a voluntary defence. Ruiz has mixed and won in world class many times only world class Audley has mixed in is in his dreams.

Check out the post I was replying to. Its not about the quality of the fight, its about the validity of title/ belt. If the title isn't legit now then it wasn't legit against Ruiz but nobody brought it up before that fight.

 

I'm just going by the rumours that Ruiz did over 800,000. If thats the case then, for right or for wrong, Harrison will at least equal that number IMHO.

 

Really? surely you meant Valuev. I thought the Ruiz fight did around 300,000. This will do massive numbers no doubt.

 

When I Googled a couple of weeks ago I'm sure they both came up around 800,000, my memory mighgt be playing tricks.. Sky don't release the figures so God knows.

Either way the point stands, even with the "Russian Giant" angle I still think Harrison will still do as well as the Valuev fight IMHO so I'd back it to do 750,000.

I just don't see mere alphabet straps as genuine world titles. Basically it's being recognized as a world title on the say so of the bandits at the WBA.

 

I totally agree with you mate. Wlad is the world champ, Haye-Harrison is for a belt but its no more or less of a title fight than Haye-Ruiz or Haye-Valuev was if you see what I mean?
