It's low even in that photo. but in reality we have full footage, we can see in my pfp that the shot was very low at a point. It was below the belt line in every pic. It's up to the ref, not you, to decide if the beltline is too high. He didn't call it so it wasn't high officially. Dubois threw a lowblow

 

Referee was the equivelent of Howard Foster. His opinion is lesser than mine.

 

What should be interesting : if on that evening this was a low blow severe enough to stop the fight than on his own undercard every fight should have been stopped since we saw dozens of such punches .

 

Exactly, the punch came from lower but when it landed, it was a brilliant body shot.
Anyone can post a still from just before the moment of impact which makes it look low but the actual video footage proves otherwise.

 

Hot take nobody actually believes it wasn't a low blow the people going with that narrative are just trying to discredit Usyk they don't really believe what they are saying.

I think even Dubois knows it was very low - his reaction in the moment was not what you'd expect from someone who'd landed a clearly legal punch...

I agree dubois did not expect such an effect but like said : if that was low , why were other fights on the undercard the same evening not also stopped ? There were dozens of similar punches , normally its a non event .

Usyk bought time to recover with his actor performance .
