Time and time again........and it never fails.......When a man wins a fight clearly, you pop out of the woodwork swearing the loser won. Holt did nothing after the second round. He abandoned his jab in the mid rounds......he abandoned his jab in the late rounds and scored a questionable knockdown in the 12th. Technically , yes, it was a knockdown, BUT a meaningless one. It wasn't like some knockdown that couldn't be recovered from. It almost looked like a little help with a " push down" Both fighters were tired and going at it in the final round. Holt was out worked in 8 of the 12 rounds and was hurt by body shots. He backpeddled. He did not use his jab. Make no mistake about it, Holt was hurt in this fight and on the verge of being stopped by Bradley. Though Bradley was down........he never appeared to be hurt. Holt was hurt and backpeddling and you all saw it. So **** HOLT. He lost and it wasn't close.
This might have been the most impressive part of the fight IMO. If Bradley would have gone any higher off the canvas after that left hook in the first he would have needed clearance from the FAA, a pilot's license and instrument rating, but he bounced right back and even had the presence of mind to take a knee for the full 8 to clear his head. That was an impressive display of keeping one's cool for a 25-year-old fighter, especially considering it was the first time he had been down as either an amateur or a pro.
He didn't let his pride force him into a stupid fight. Bradley kept his head and took the time he needed to recover. Smart fighter.
There is always some idiot that does this.....it's attention whoring on ESB at its best. I remember M.Alexander saying how Peter was robbed against Chambers only for him to score the fight for Peter by a couple of points. Some noob said that Mosley only beat Collazo because he was "holding". And lest we forget about Brewster and Co drugging Wlad....
