Considering a lot on the list I haven't seen a lot of. And in order to determine the greatest of all time I'd have to see at least half of their big fights. And I can't say I have for most on the list. But of I have, I'd say Sugar Ray Leonard or Pernell Whitaker.
Klitscho? I would have thought Tyson or Ali but I never expected anyone to bring out Wlad. The Champ of the WEAKEST Heavyweight Division in Boxing History!
Yeah why did you leave Calzaghe out??? We want Joe!!!! Seriously, the sanest choice is Robinson, but I'll go with Ali
Sugar Ray Robinson. If not for the fact that they had him fighting every 2 minutes he might have had a virtually unblemished record. When you read a boxer's autobiography you'll discover that all sorts of things go wrong before a fight. I can only imagine all the times Ray was injured, sick, undertrained, overtrained, ect. He must have fought 80 times with some sort of sort of severe discomfort or disadvantage.
pep was poetic greb was endurance personified robinson was as slick and precise as anyone duran was raw, instinctual, brave a true warrior..i dont like to number nor place these men in any order, it is a disservice to everything they stood for,all are one offs.
There is no question in my mind who was the best of all times. He says it all of the time. Muhammad Ali. He fought every fighter he could fight, fought all over the world, and he beat two men in gorilla suits in Liston and foreman. His toughest opponents were his easiest/hardest fights. their isn't a boxer with his resume who beat more good fighters than ali. It is not even a contest. As great as Robinson is, he did not face every challenge like ali did. Ali best ever...
