    One of the best 154 pound fights I've ever seen. The build up to this fight was one for the ages, and was one of the most anticipated fights of the early 2000s. Maybe if Vargas had a few more fights on his belt and gained a little bit more championship experience we might have got a different outcome that night!

    I loved that fight. What a savage performance from Trinidad. He would wreck guys like Thurman and Erroll Spence. He would wreck most 147-154 pounders over the last 35 years.

    Incredible and brutal fight from start to finish. Trinidad was relentless throughout while Vargas showed so much heart but ultimately succumbed to Trinidad's power in the end to the point that he just wasn't the same after. Were it not for Barrera vs Morales 1 this would have been easily FOTY.
