are forearms really that important in boxing? cos i dont think im in bad shape but my forearms are kinda skinny, is this important?
Well the flexors and extensors are the two muscle groups that keep your hand position rigid on impact not allowing your wrist to turn back or over.
I think punching and training your arms to punch is the best sports-specific workout to develop any muscle you need to in order to better your punch. I wouldn't worry about isolating it until you've worked on punching for a good while; best way to better the action is to do it.
