    Big George said that Ron Lyle was the hardest puncher he ever faced recently. Many people seem to misattribute this to Cleveland Williams. This also means he hits harder than guys like Tommy Morrison and Gerry Cooney

    It seems to me that this time Big George is being consistent with an earlier statement. Just see what he says at the beginning of this nice video made by one of our mates, haNZAgod:

    Hanza finds the most obscure stuff sometimes, alot like reznick. yeah if you watch the lyle foreman fight you can really see how devastating he is,

    Lyle definitely hurt Big George more than anyone in his career of 80+ fights.

    You have to take a lot of this in context but Foreman, who says a lot of outrageous, inconsistent stuff has been pretty consistent when it comes to Lyle .. many doubt it because they doubt Lyle as a fighter but power is power and Lyle was a monster.

    He also accused Alex Stewart of loading his gloves and said Cooney was the hardest puncher he ever fought so who knows.


    He also goes from giving Ali credit for beating him to claiming he was drugged 2 minutes earlier in the same interview.
    George is strangely inconsistent sometimes.

    I recall him saying that Cooney's left hook was much harder than Fraziers. And he said the man that hit him the hardest was Ron Lyle. He did name Cleveland Williams as one of the hardest punchers he ever faced too. Soo it's all in context.
