Every experience I have ever had or witnessed people having on this Earth tells me Foreman is lying.

That was a thing in the 70's. In Manilla, Norton figured that both Ali and Frazier had dehydrated before the fight. Which suggests he used to as well.

Cheeseburger jokes aside, comeback Foreman still looked in better shape than Whyte and Ruiz

How about the video evidence of him being able to go 10-12 hard rounds against men much younger than him while never seeming gassed out, and never even sitting down between rounds?

Given his age and weight, yet lack of stamina issues, I'm inclined to believe what he says about his cardio training.

Foreman had better stamina in his comeback because he was throwing about 1/3rd to half as many punches.

Foreman would've screwed his knees up if he were actually running that much. Maybe he did it to drop weight at the start of his comeback or maybe he'd jog a couple of miles and then walk the rest.

They all cut weight. Ali and Norton walked around at 230 and quote "starved themselves".

Yeah, but starving oneself is not the same as cutting water. But it seems they cut both fat and water, the latter which is curious when you don't have to make weight.

Not very convincing evidence if you ask me. Walking around on a soft mat throwing two dozen punches a round in a relaxed state is very different to 15kms of running on hard concrete, or even in a field, when you’re Foreman’s age & weight. That kind of distance takes a certain level of fitness & durability in the knees there’s no chance on Earth Foreman was upto in my book. As others have said, he probably mixed some jogging with walking.

But if there’s a distance runner here who would support Foreman’s claim of running “8-10 miles” at his age & weight I’d be fascinated to hear from them.

If you had to take your shirt off and stand next to Norton with his off, wouldn't YOU be trying to cut fat first? Lol

If you go to any amateur 5k or 10k, you'll see a bunch of men (and especially women) who manage to be overweight yet run distance at a decent pace. You'd be surprised of the number of tubby soccer moms at a 5k (admittedly only 3.2mi) who turn in a decent-ish time.

Well I’m no expert on distance running I prefer sprint training so maybe.

I know a few big guys who are older than Foreman was then, who can run fifty miles or more.

Not everything that is gold in distance running glitters.

It is possible if he had good biomechanics.
