Foreman from the Holyfield fight vs Tyson from the Douglas fight

Well according to Cus Damato "No swarmer could ever beat George Foreman"
It does not matter if we believe that, it matters if Mike believes it or not..That could be a factor but regardless it would be a war..It ain't gonna go the distance
..Could Tyson take Foreman's best punch..Could Foreman take Tyson's best punch..Edge of your seat Foreman would be fighting to regain the title.. but Tyson would have taken Foreman more serious then Douglas

For comparison reasons, I have always thought that the George Foreman that fought Holyfield was not in his best "comeback fight" mode that night.

 

I believe a prime Foreman would destroy every heavyweight from champion
from Holmes to the current day

the second version of Foreman didn't have the killer instinct as the first which was intentional on his part because of religious reasons so Foremans not gonna fight dirty like a prime Foreman be willing to match him foul for foul

 

A good while after the fight, (probably a few years) Foreman stated that Holyfield was the dirtiest fighter he had ever faced. If George is correct, that is certainly saying something.

 

If Tyson shows up the same way & trained as he did vs. Douglas, he is done.
If he is not psyched out by his preconceptions about Foreman, he should be able to win when well trained. Peak vs. peak is another matter, though given the speed disparity Tyson has a chance.

 

Really? 'Cause old George wasn't a saint in there either. He used low blows more than a few times, still pushed opponents which is technically illegal, punched to the kidneys and threw the odd elbow.
As for his supposed lesser killer instinct...I am not buying it. Ask ****ey for instance if George had lost some of his killer instinct.

As to the fight...for me George was too slow to land more than maybe an odd bomb here or there. But his size and strength may give Tyson a few issues for a while.

There's going to be a point where Tyson realizes he's not going to finish George. He's going to find a lot of paws in his face and his overhands will be negated by foremans parry heavy shell. Foreman puts a beating on his kidney with hooks. Clobbers him with the left uppercut all day. Tyson most likely quits in his corner

 

Tyson easily beats foreman the way glass jawed Morrison did

 

Tyson would not fight same game plan. Foreman is big trouble for any Tyson. A wrecking ball with real killer instinct.

 

Tyson didn't know the meaning of fighting off the back foot, he would walk onto something big sooner rather than later..
