It's amazing that some can still be negative towards Foreman, he busted his leg, got tko'd by a body blow, and lost his strap.
Hm. I wonder how many of you keyboard warriors would choose to box Miguel Cotto. Let me guess, you'd engage him in much the manner of Margarito, taking the fight to him with all the skills you've gained in the 0 fights you've had. Get real. Most of you would **** yourselves on the ringwalk to face someone like Cotto, so don't talk **** about someone like Yuri who got in there and soldiered on after suffering a severe injury, from all appearances.
So you stand still and trade with a stronger, harder hitting boxer...knowing maybe there is a good chance you may get stopped in doing so, but you will be seen as a warrior if you were to do so...? Crap! Lets be honest...the guy can't punch for ****. The hardest right hands he landed only made Cotto blink. If you've ever seen him before, you know he uses a lot of movement against all his opponents...the reason being, he hasn't got the power to trade. He gets what looks like a serious knee injury...gets up off the floor twice and still wants to fight on, stands in front of Cotto and trades with him on a couple of occasions...and uses minimal movement thereafter...yet he doesn't deserve to be seen as a warrior...atsch
I don't get why people are on Foreman. They guy is a mover, he fought like a mover, lost one of the main ingredients to be a mover, and still kept fighting chossing to lose his title giving it everything he had rather than just folding up tent and quitting. Kermit Cintron, Vitali Klitschko, Nate Campbell and many others have quit with far less injuries and in far BETTER circumstances, yet people aren't here to give Foreman props?? That's an utter disgrace. Also the ref was OUTSTANDING. He gave Foreman every chance to defend his title. At no point did Foreman stop throwing punches or give any indication he wanted to quit, so there was no reason to stop the fight. Mercante is a class act. Finally, boxing is better when Cotto is in the mix. He's tough, dedicated, exciting and willing to fight ANYONE. He is a fighter that will be missed when he moves on. Keith
Definitely. And once it is torn the first time, it tears easier after also. Even with great physical therapy.
:deal 100% agree. I picked Cotto, I like Cotto much better as a fighter, but Foreman showed he has a big heart and deserves nothing but praise. Keith
What the ****? A fighter that fights one way isn't going to magically planet his feet and brawl because he hurt himself. Fighters will find adjustments so that they fight to the best of their ability. Foreman probably tore his ACL, jesus christ he should get HUGE ****ing props for even moving around that much.
True. Much respect to Yuri. On a side note who is the ugly mother****er is your avatar ? Lost bet or smthing ?
exactly i got a labral tear on my shoulder, i couldn't imagine hitting a bag let alone fighting miguel cotto.
Im sorry but... I thought he did spend most of the time running around even before he got hurt? and this is called a warrior?
