How on Earth could anyone call this man less than warrior? The guy fought his heart out on one good leg! You try doing what he did!
But only twats and lots of them here would have called him a quitter if he stopped. You saw his leg go. Doing crab movements and seeing the leg lock and nearly keep going maybe show sheart, but is also ****ing stupid to carry on as a target and **** your leg more possibly.
So you only label boxers who stand, trade and take their opponents best punches as warriors? Or boxers who stand in the centre of the ring for 12 rounds, and are in exciting bouts as warriors?
Well if he was outclassed from the beginning...how is he going to win the bout? His punches had no effect on Cotto, so how is standing toe to toe with him going to change the course of the bout? The only result for Foreman if he were to stand with Cotto would most likely have been a KO. If a boxer has virtually no power...he can not stand and trade, especially at the highest level. Said boxer has to use in, out, and lateral movement. Does this make him any less of a warrior? No.
What is he supposed to do to win the fight then? He pretty much have lost from round 1 if he isnt gonna trade. Sure he may get KOed, but he may also get lucky and hit coto on the right spot. The way I see it, thats the only way he could win. His movement isnt doing anything there. If any, that screwed up his legs. Anyway have fun, going to bed :bbb
I pointed out how he would have had a shot at winning, you just chose to ignore it. And you do realise that a boxer does not need to trade with his opponent to win the bout? Foreman may have gotten lucky if he caught Cotto on the right spot...but his best chance at winning that bout up until his injury was to use a ton of movement...and he did have some success in doing so.
Warrior my ass! He fought on but had no chance of winning! AA fought and won with a broken jaw, thats a warrior!!
I'm gonna put it to you this way. Foreman is the nerd in HS fighting the tough kid. There's in way in hell he's gonna win and while injured, he's determined to not go down as a quitter. That's a warriors mentality. You gotta give him that at least.
