I just dug up my tape from "Foreman-Moorer" and uploaded an interview with Foreman after the fight with Charley Steiner and Al Bernstein.

What the hell ever happened to "Roy Firestone, Alex Wallau, Bobby Czyz, Dan Dierdorf & Tim Ryan" for cryin' out loud???

I know Barry Tompkins still calls fights on lesser networks here in 2010, but why did he leave HBO in 1989???

I saw that Dave Bontempo looks ancient in 2010 and calls fights sometimes with Col. Bob Sheridan.... He worked "Adamek-Grant" last month...

    This is verry interesting.

There has been some debate about to what extent Foremans win was down to luck/strategy, but he had not had time to compose his story at this point.

He clearly did have a few clever ideas for dealing with Moorer, and that short punch that close the deal would have done Sam Langford proud.

The last Foreman right that ended Moorer's night, was perhaps Foreman's straightest right ever thrown.?.?

    Straightest and shortest.

He must have borrowed it off Joe Louis.

He definitely threw a straighter righthand during his comeback

The guy was in his mid 40s after a long layoff, of course he's going to be slow. Most 45 year old boxers would have been blitzed in 1-2 rounds of a heavyweight fight against the lineal champion. This fight is arguably the most impressive feat in the history of sports and the record could stand for 100 years or more.

I agree Joe but that doesn't change the facts of what I said. Kudos to George for being able to hang in there and take that kind of punishment waiting for his chance

No doubt on my end here that George Foreman made the all-time greatest comeback in sports history..... And its not just for kayoing Michael Moorer for the title when he was ancient at 45 yrs of age, but also for being marketable in the general public's eye and selling his grill successfully and, making a shitload of cash during his comeback from 1987 to 1997.....

No other athlete has done what George Foreman had done from ages 38 to 48 in sports history..... It ain't even close..... Foreman wins.........

Foreman might have won the fight but Moorer won the event!
