You can tear meniscus without it hurting at all.

i think he made a lot of fans even in defeat w/ that effort. gutsy. lotta heart. lets just hope he can come back in top form. knees are a ***** to come back from especially for a lateral mover/dancer like yuri who relies on his feet a lot.

I dont know if i would call yuri brave, all he does is run during all his fight.. he doesnt even try to exchange or trade with his opponents.. one thing is to try to outbox your opponent is another to just flat out be running around like a biatch

    :hat

He has pretty much out boxed all of his previous opponents.

So to say that he just runs around like a ***** is just stupid. He was just out gunned by Cotto.

I work for an Orthopedic Specialist and know for a fact that a torn meniscus is a very common injury that doesn't even need to be caused by an event, or accident, to occur. There are tons of people who tear their menicus and never have surgery as it can heal on its own in some cases. I'm not trying to take away from Foreman's courageous outing it's just some of you are making it sound like he tore an ACL or an MCL. There are football /basketball players that play throughout the entire season with the same injury.

tim tebow ran for a 29 yard game tying touchdown for nease highschool on a broken leg. not a hairline fracture. a clean break. just saying :D yeah yeah i'm one of those obnoxious gator/tebow fans :deal sorry.

yuri showed great heart. his injury is common, yes. but it can also be extremely painful if its a bad enough tear. he rightfully won a lot of fans despite losing the fight. i've always been a huge cotto fan but i'll be pulling for yuri from now as well.

Apparently Foreman had this issue in sparring prior to the fight .Word was that his knee buckled twice .

Wish I'd had that experience, J. When I tore mine, it hurt like hell -- couldn't run at all. How an athlete can perform on it is beyond me.

I agree it can be painful, but guys fight with broken bones in their face, broken hands, and gashes over their eyes all the time. Foreman hurts his knee, can't run anymore and has to stand and fight and all of a sudden his a warrior. He showed some grit and heart deciding to continue but I think its being over blown a bit. Especially now that people are naturally looking to discredit Cotto because of Foreman's injury.
