Foreman V Frazier: Can you really say he George had joes Number

    When I think of the term"having his Number" I think of a guy who is/was clearly better than someone, but can't beat him. Hearns/Barkley for example. I don't think Frazier was clearly better than Foreman.

    A second round knockout is pretty emphatic, especially when you consider the steam-rolling nature of it. There was no fluke punch; it looked impossible as soon as George found his evil range.

    Even still, it has always intrigued Ted Spoon to consider what would have occurred had the Joe Frazier from March 8th, 1971 stepped out of the Garden and into that Jamaican ring.

    Physically he was a different kettle of fish and his mind was not tinged with over-confidence. Their actual fight firmly tells us that it’s never going to be easy, but to see if Frazier could smuggle his body into the mid-rounds and find the space for his swooping clubs is an interesting thought.
