It is a matter of styles. Quarry had a good chin and could box a bit but went to the body and head well. Quarry had trouble with speed but Foreman was void of it. Jerry would get hit early but hit back. Quarry's chin could nullify a puncher and Foreman would be breathing hard after a few rounds. Quarry was avoided for a reason.

Nothing is certain in boxing but I do feel strong about Quarry having the perfect style to beat Foreman

If Larry was champ at the time Foreman would have fought him. I think Ali and Holmes were 2 different fighters and although I can see Larry beating him I can also see Holmes falling victim to Foreman's right hand.

In 1973, Foreman avoided Quarry who was an adept counterpuncher but not in the Lyle or Frazier's league as a knockout artist. He fought Lyle at the very beginning of 1976 because Lyle had defeated Shavers. If Shavers had beaten Lyle in September of 75' then Foreman most likely would have faced Shavers. In his comeback he wanted to face Tyson but this never happened of course. He also ttok on Cooney, Morrison, Briggs, three huge punchers.

  4. LMAO what qualifies as a big puncher in your eyes? I wouldn't want to be in there with Lyle, Norton, Morrison, Chuvalo, Cooney etc
