    My pick:

Holmes loses if the fight takes place in the 70's. But has better chance after 75. By 80 it flips and holmes is the favorite.

by the late 80s and nineties foreman wins again.

I really only see Holmes winning this post 74 pre 80

if you are saying that holmes would beat foreman among the years 73-76 you are not even good as troll.
i dont buy the typical history " jimmy young and ali did.beat foreman cause the styles so holmes would beat him aswell" nonsense, holmes traded with punchers much more and he could be hurt(you did not need to be shavers, tyson or foreman to hurt holmes). and foreman would be by far the best finisher that prime Holmes fought, if he hurts larry, and i am pretty sure that he would do it, i guarantee you that foreman would finish the job

    foreman
shavers is not a good finisher and that's why holmes won that fight. foreman is a much better finisher.

Holmes was pretty green still in the mid 70's. Even so, even then he may have given the more seasoned Foreman trouble.

For me, Holmes at his best beats any George Foreman. Holmes had a meanness and tenacity that belied his silky jab and polished boxing skills.

90's versions...I still go with Larry, but it's closer. It is a cliche maybe but also true: George battled with boxers.

Holmes wasn't a slippery cutie like Young and I don't think he'd survive Ali's rope a dope tactics. Shavers, Weaver, Snipes etc showed he could be got to, and if Foreman hurts him the way they did I think Larry's warrior instinct would kick in and he'd try to fight his way out of trouble. Big mistake. Foreman by TKO.

really? so a green 73 Holmes in his pro debut would beat a peak foreman right? it is why the team of holmes wanted no part of foreman in 1976 because he was not ready for him . keep writing bull****
