Decided to rematch this fight last night after a discussion in another thread and noticed George landing a huge right hand on Holyfield around the 1:46 mark of the 11th round that clearly hurt Holyfield. You can see Holyfield try to bounce up and down to get his legs back and basically hold and buy time for nearly the rest of the round. It's interesting that this moment was somewhat missed by the commentators, the crowd and even Foreman himself. Foreman had equally hurt Moorer moments before he knocked him out in their fight with a similar subtle right hand that basically had Moorer out on his feet before that last right hand landed. The difference between Holyfield and Moorer in these situations was that Holyfield was aware enough to hang on where Moorer was not.
I saw that when I watched the fight,,Foreman was one more shot away from dropping him. He was too heavy at 257 and couldn't follow up
Watch the right hand he lands against Moorer a few seconds earlier. On the HBO legendary nights show, Moorer said he was out on his feet after the first right hand.
Ya I saw it .... Moorer was right there and came back for more .. lol .... he was aware enough to try and block it .. but crafty George looped his right the 2nd shot to clear moorers glove .. it was a beaut
Na Foreman couldn`t really land much after that, Holy wasn`t even holding that much, Foreman was far too slow.
Numerous times Holyfield has said that Foreman hit him the hardest with a shot that made him think that he had all of his teeth knocked out. I'm curious if this is that moment?
