This is a pure pick em' fight.

There's no way of knowing how Jeffries would handle somebody of Foreman's size and punching power - or how Foreman would deal with a strongman who had stamina and could punch, but would be susceptible to getting tagged.

I see two guys who get rocked several times, but I don't know who would be likely to stay down first - but I doubt it would go the distance.

My gut favors the strong and more skillful Jeffries - but Foreman's power is too good to stand strong behind that intuitive guess.

At the same time, just because Jeffries fought mainly smaller heavyweights dosnt mean that he wouldnt match up well against bigger fighters.

Jeffries was tested not only against boxers but also elite level wrestlers like Earnest Rober, so I wouldnt count him out when it comes to who manhandles who.

Ok fair enough. Would you explain to me why jeffries wasnt able to use his overwhelming size, strength advantage to bomb out little guys like sharkey, choynski, fitzimmons in 4-5 rounds?

Lets examine Jeffries record against fighters over 6 feet tall who weighed more than 200lbs and were in there prime.

Oh sorry we can't there isn't one.

And don't go comparing Ali to Jeffries ,Jeffries had his nose broken multiple times ,his eyebrows gashed open and his eyes closed in fights against super middleweights, who were in their late 30,s.37 yearold Fitz had had precisely 2rds of competition since winning thre title from Corbett, and that was over a nobody for 2 years he hadnt had a fight, yet he went 11rds with Jeffries and beat the **** out of his face, giving away 13 years and 47 lbs.How many rounds does Fitz go with Foreman?

It is probably the same reason that Sam Peter struggled with the overweight middleweight James Toney, or George foreman lost to the smaller Jimmy Young, Louis struggled with the small billy conn, Dempsey was dominated by light heavy Tunney, Jack Johnson Was KOd by choynski and nearly beaten by Ketchell. The list is endless, a good littleman can be as difficult or harder than beating a lumbering big man. History has proven this time and time again.

It was a combination of factors . Among them were Lack of experience, an injury ( Sharkey II ), loaded gloves ( Fitz II ), and all three were HOF fighters.

Loaded gloves has never been proved ,what has been proved is trhat Fitz broke his right hand duriing the second fight yet still went 8 rds at the age of40.
