Honestly think you can make a debate that Frazier hurt Foreman more than Qawi did lol

It was an entertaining fight. I posted a thread a number of years ago commenting on how George looked trim at 238 lbs for that match

I saw it live. It was sad to see Dwight baloon up that much. He looked like a bowling ball. Sure his skills kept im in it but from the opening bell it was apparent George as ponderous as he was, was just too big. Smartly, Dwight dropped back down to Cruiserweight.

Please dont confuse Coetzer with the much better Coetzee.

    Otherwise good point about Tyson.

How long ago you watch this fight ? Foreman was never not in control, even lazy because of it it seemed. Dwight quit instead of taking a hiding from that moment. He was done

    Yes with headmovement.
Also they are same built robust LHw who could carry 200lb easy without being fat and outshaped.

Qawi apparently had let himself get out of shape after the Holyfield fight and took this one one two and a half weeks notice. From what I understand, Arum had been trying to get Foreman a fight with a legit heavyweight gatekeeper type, but Foreman refused to sign at the last minute, saying that he wanted someone small, like Tyson (George UD already turned down a fight with Orlin Norris though).

How did you guys score this fight? Arguably should have been even on the cards heading into the 7th.

Those uppercuts from Foreman and that vicious left hook to the body are why Qawi quit. Qawi had an excellent jab and was very good at neutralizing his opponent’s reach and height, but after Foreman landed about two or three clean uppercuts Qawi already was looking like he wanted out of the fight, but the final straw was the left hook to the body. Qawi was done after that left hook.

At 8:48 look at Qawi’s face after receiving Foreman’s left to the body.

I do agree that Qawi was starting to be in trouble in the 6th and 7th, but I think he should have kept going.
