Was round six one of the strangest in boxing. Foreman hits Qawi and Qawi buckles over like he is going down and he played possum and attacked Forman. Later on Foreman hit him with some shots that Qawi fell into the ropes and it should have been called a KD and it was not. They engage again and Foreman whispers something in his ear. I was wired on caffeine and deciding to watch old fights. The other fight was Foreman vs Morrison. I don't understand so many people saying Morrison ran the whole fight. No he did not. He fought a very wise and tough fight nailing Foreman with good shots.
George looked utterly flat in the Morrison fight. It looked to me like he wasn't even trying to win, just going through the motions. Morrison's hand speed and overall quickness made it tough for George, but still, George didn't throw many punches. I don't know why he didn't let more punches go!
Looking the fight, yes your right. I mean, he did catch Morrison with some decent shots, but Morrison took it well. I'm just saying, Morrison came in there with a good game plan and executed it. Tremendous left hooks Foreman took like a champ. I like both fighters and if Morrison had a chin and better stamina, he could have been great. That left hook of his was something else.
Do you or any poster know what was it he whispered in Qawi's ear? That Foreman would have caught Morrison for sure.
Qawi thought he was very smart and experienced when he faked to be stunned in the 15th round of his WBA JR HWT title bout with Holyfield in Atlanta and then came up with punches to surprise Evander and knock him out... Same thang here... Qawi was a 5ft7in at most LHWT who ate to become a CW and then a HWT...
