I scored it 115-114 for Schulz

I think it was a close fight actually. I first thought Axel was just outright robbed, but then I watched it with the sound turned off and scored it. It was a lot closer than I thought it was.

i don't know how anyone can think foreman nicked it. yes, he was landing a couple of body shots and jabs but it was the same thing over and over: foreman threw a shot and missed, schulz countered him with 3-4 shots to the head. george looked almost helpless at times because he couldn't do anything about it. as for the punch stats: if foreman really was in front then you can forget them. i think the ratio of meaningful shots to the head was 3:1 or 4:1 for schulz.

I don't remember my exact score, but I had Schulz winning clearly. Enough that I thought it was highway robbery to see Foreman get the W.

I met a mexican boxer in a strip club that fought at heavyweight, and I can't recall his name.

He said he was offered 100k to fight George in the comeback era, but they said he had to throw the fight, and he refused, so they didn't give him the fight.

I don't recall it quite well but I do remember I had it clearly for Schulz in a tragic night for him and German boxing. Axel Shulz, the uncrowned HWT Champion of the World and a great warrior.

Sorry to hear that mate, you are right though it was a horrible black eye for the sport in such a high profile fight.

The very same man told me the very same story in 1993 in a club called The Metz in Las Vegas... The offer to fight George was true, but i don't know if the dive was actually part of any deal, the guy actually took an interim fight with Journeyman Mike Dixon and blew the chance by getting Ko'd outdoors at the Riviera Hotel.. His name was Alex Garcia.. The san fernando Hammer............:good

If you watch closely, you will notice that Schultz was not really that accurate. A lot of his punches missed. His combinations looked spectucalor but were not really that effective. His best punch was the straight right hand lead which landed fairly often.

In my eyes Foreman was landing then heavier jabs. He threw a heavy jab throughout the bout.

I scored it 115-113 Foreman, but I admit it was not an easy bout to score at all.

Poor Axel was badly robbed in this fight. He was winning it clearly.
