Ali was a bad style match up for Foreman. Leading up to the fight Foreman was the boogeyman of the HW division. But his success was against flat footed brawlers or smaller fighters who chose to brawl with him. The only other slick boxer Foreman fought was Young, and he lost that as well. I'm not so sure Foreman beats Ali at a different venue. It was just a bad style for George and he wasn't a nuanced enough fighter to overcome.

    Hi Buddy.
Interesting ( and oft repeated ) that you say Ali was a bad " style " match up for Foreman, the thing is that style was not what the Ali camp had in mind as a strategy going into the fight far from it, in fact Dundee was pleading with Ali to get of the ropes round after round, so I don't think the plan was for Ali to lay back on the ropes and take punishment form a murderous puncher like Foreman, as George has said many times " what choice did he have " not unlike the long standing debate on Leonard / Duran 1, did Ray choose to fight that way, to prove his machismo, or did Duran leave him no choice, had Ali fought his usual fight, box and move, albeit slower than his peak , he might well have found himself running out of stamina late in a 15 rounder, due to the persistent pressure from Foreman, who knows.

Dundee actually tightened the ropes, fearing Ali might fall out of the ring. The story that he loosened them is total BS.
