I think so, he wouldnt of lasted too much longer fighting like that though, meaning not moving as much. Cottos shot were too heavy. If Foremans knee hadent a gone out he mighta won a few more rounds. I was curious to see if Cottos stamina problem had gone away, next time...

Foreman lost almost every round. Fight wasn't close, not before he got injured & not after he got injured. Poor attempt at a thread

I know this is an obvious troll attempt, but just wanted to make a few points and I think everybody should drop this entire thread.

    1. Cotto obliterated Foreman on the punchstats - even before the injury. He was landing more, landing harder, and landing at a higher percentage. 35% before the injury, and 39% afterwards, compared to 29% by Foreman. Foreman's punchstats actually improved after the injury.

    2. Cotto was winning on all three cards even BEFORE the injury. He wasn't just winning, he was dominating, I believe 5-1, 5-1, 4-2. Cotto would had to have had an epic collapse (or blown out his knee) from the 8th round on just for Foreman to earn a majority DRAW.

    3. Cotto has issues wilting under pressure, but Foreman brought no pressure. Cotto would have been in no danger of suddenly collapsing down the stretch - Foreman doesn't bring that kind of heat of aggression, and by the 7th round, Cotto was guaranteed of at least a draw even if he lost every other round after that (and there was no indication it was even starting to head that way - he was dominating the 7th even before Foreman's injury).

    4. That was a body shot that did Foreman in in the end.

Bottom line = Foreman had no hope of a comeback in that fight with or without the injury. None.

    At all.

Now go find more worthy threads to post on.

I wasn't being serious, guys. However, after the injury Foreman did begin to sit down on his punches and fight a little tougher so I'll give him that.

Why do people say these things when the cards were announced during the HBO broadcast and Cotto was miles ahead?

You're borderline ******ed, I hope you are fishing/trolling/flame baiting because if not, you really should be banned for not meeting minimum intelligence standards...and that is saying ALOT! Dude got the brakes beat off of him, and it wasn't even close.

I thought Foreman would win here, and I would feel like a liar to claim Foreman won more than two rounds here. He did give good account of himself when his knee crapped out on him, but Cotto was never in danger during those last few rounds despite taking some hard shots.

the only chance foreman had was his speed and movement but cotto did somethin nobody expected he cut the ring of beautifully and foreman kept leaving himself in positions wer he couldnt land a punch he showed great heart but wasnt close to winning the fight
