You havent produced anything to back up your statement ,which doesn't surprise me as it does not exist.Ali had nothing to do with picking the site of the fight and at 32 you would expect the heat to affect the older man more than the young champion. Ali tanked the Spinks fight? Yeah sure.:patsch

He is referring to Sandy Saddler not Dick Sadler.Sandy had no input into George's training and Dick Sadler knew jack **** to start with.

Foreman was in his physical prime at 25, with 37 professional fights under his belt, he was also an Olympic champion.
Ali won the title at 22 with only 20 fights on his record.Joe Frazier 's career total fights was 37 the same amount Foreman had when he defended against Ali .
    You do talk rubbish !

No conspiracy...Ali beat Foreman fair and square.

But I always felt that Zaire played a part in that. Ali was welcomed as a hero and treated like a god and Foreman wasn't.
Ali always felt a kinship with Africa and I'm convinced that the fight being held there and the crowd support he enjoyed galvanised him and gave him confidence. By contrast, George was never comfortable in Zaire and when he got cut and tried to leave, they would not let him.
I stand under correction, but I heard that George also didn't like the food? Either way, Ali felt at home in Zaire and Foreman was a stranger in a strange land and he didn't like it.

A fighter's psyche is incredibly sensitive and seemingly little things can play on a fighter's mind and affect his performance to a degree.

Ali hated Zaire whatever he said to the press.Foreman was never comfortable anywhere he thought he was invincible at that time. Both had the same food and conditions , but the 7 years older man prevailed, that's why he is regularly ranked no 1 and Foreman never is.

What makes you say Ali hated Zaire, Mcvey? I was always under the impression that he loved the place?

It never ceases to amuse me when some people use the heat as a reason as to why Ali won. Pre fight,it was cited as one of the reasons why the older man would lose !!

Three or four books I've read on the subject. He was moaning about the food and humidity.

The best Ali as close to his peak we ever gonna see was against Cleveland Williams. I can´t imagine any fighter beat that version of Ali.

The idea that Alis corner loosened the ropes is another huge fallacy. There is a video on YouTube that shows the ring a few days before fight time. The ropes were as loose as any ring I have ever seen. By fight time they were much more taught.....not looser. Dundee in fact came to the arena the day before....saw the loose ropes and insisted they be tightened. What is forgotten is the ring size was negotiated and it was smaller than what Ali wanted. The rope set was designed to fit a bigger ring and this is why there were issues getting the ropes as taught as typical.

I have always found it strange that the camera cuts away from Foreman near the end of the count and Foreman didn't seem to get a fair shake for the count. He may have been up at 9, but then again fighting Ali, thi shoudl have been forseeable.

as for dodgy trainers, so what, maybe his trainer did screw him, 99% are crooks anyways kevin rooney gots a record and teddy atlas was a bank robber, trainers back then were largely crooks.

Foreman has no one to blame but himself, shouldn't have gotten hit with the punch and shouldn't have kept punching when ali was blocking everything

Look how he is in the first row when leaning on those ropes, foreman is right, someone loosened those ropes. I weigh more than ali, I cannot stretch the rope that far by leaning on it when I am fighting another hw.

The Ali who fought terrel was the best ali imo. You will never see 15 rounds of dancing like that again. A shorter man punching a 6'6 tall guy and landing jabs on the taller man before the taller man can even raise his hand back
