hmm I dont know, GSP is more of a grinder type fighter, wear you down while Silva is a walking terminator. He has that I can end this fight in 10 seconds quality. We dont know how good Silvas groundskills are but hes been training with the best so lets just assume that hes improve from a Nog Blackbelt to a Jacare level BB, thats serious along with his long limbs his guard is becoming painful.

My point is, hes getting better and better on the ground and probably concentrates on TD defense and how to tie you up from the bottom.

All I know is I saw him from under Lutter, to Nate to Hendo and he manages to keep it up standing, this has become a problem when facing Anderson, if you cant pin him down for 5 rounds, youre about a good combo away from getting demolished. No one has that weapon in MMA

Yeah it's your "opinion" and i have every right to dispute it because that's what forums are for aren't they? , and as for Fedor's competition i mean come on now, Sylvia got ko'd in about seven seconds the other day and so was Ariovski , so imo that takes the shine off of Fedor's wins against them, and lets be honest Fedor was getting dominated against Ariovski until the stupid flying knee, while on the other hand Silva hasn't even been hit in his last three fights, yes two were boring but that's because they didn't want to fight, Fedor rarely has opponants who refuse to engage with him, i guess eveyone has their favorites but when it comes to pure skill i really can't see how anyone is better than Silva right now.

You attacked as if I quoted it for the gospel. You honestly think Prime Silva vs Prime Fedor (which both are in) would be a Silva victory? I don't. Fedor would take him down and sub him. Prime CC could probably come close if not match Silva in striking.

I absolutey do think Silva would have his number, Silva has a brilliant defence on the ground and just ties up everyone with his long legs, you can talk about what happens on the ground but i think anyone with a brain knows Silva would **** him while standing so i'd say the fight is pretty even but Silva has the edge imo with his speed, reach, height and skill advantage.

It would be a great fight, Silva vs Fedor.

Sorry to rain on peoples bandwagon but it was quite expected that Forrest had no chance. ****, even in Fedor Sylvia fight people were saying Sylvia has some advantages. Forrest had 0. Size was actually in Silva's from what I saw.

That said, I think Silva is p4p better than Fedor, but still debatable.

I was expecting atleast a size advantage for Forrest but Anderson looked pretty big, Silva made the most out of that half inch reach advantage!

Actually it's not debatable at all... Because the very concept of P4P is flawed. Forget Fedor and Anderson (or GSP , Torres , Penn etc..)

(one of the biggest problems with the P4P idea of blowing up a 150 or 190 or 205 pound guy to 230 or 250 pounds ... he'd get slower and less agile because of the extra weight he has to move. Strength goes up with cross section, weight goes up with volume ... ie weight increases faster than strength as size increases.)

griffin was right to run from the octagon because if he didnt im sure he would have burst into tears again, that was a disgrace, he made silva look like shane mosley why he kept pressing forward after it was clear silva had the skills to catch him at will, dumb performance from a dumb fighter and it shows how overrated the whole 205 division is, anderson will beat machida or rua quite easily

Well, Fedor stood with Cro Cop no problem.

He also has the power to hurt Silva on his feet.

Silva has never faced anyone with the overal raw strength and punching power of Fedor.

Fedor is one of the hardest punchers in MMA regardless of his KO percentage, I dont care what anyone say's.

If SIlva was on his back against Fedor, Fedor would pound his head into the canvas tbh.

After all, Fedor is the most vicious ground and pound fighter in history and he would control Silva from the top.

I think Anderosn would have to be very nimble on his feet and light on his toes and try and out point Fedor.

Andeson would have to pot shot and wait for the KO to come to him.

Going after Fedor and getting to close would be a big mistake.

I dont see Anderson's clinch working if Fedor gets that close.

Fedor would have him tossed to the matt in no time.

He'd have to fight this fight like Roy Jones pot shotting a John Ruiz to beat Fedor.

If he got too close Fedor would maul him to the canavs in no time and no man want's to have Fedor on top of them. :dead

Prime Cro Cop would beat Silva comfortably in a pure striking contest, this is the man that stopped Bonjaskey and beat Peter Aerts.

Think about what Remy would do to Silva in a striking match.

Here's the difference between boxing and MMA. You people just can't say an MMA fighter sucks.

Very fast and accurate shots. I don't think it was fixed.
