Forget Donaire, Vic Darchinyan vs Fernando Montiel is the real toss up match. Donaire is game but Vic obviously took his 15-1 dog too lightly and showed no respect for Donaire's power and fought wrecklessly. Montiel vs Darchinyan would be the best fight and more evenly matched. I would give Montiel the slight edge on style points. They both can bang although the power edge goes to Vic but Monitel got plently of power to KO Vic as well. I think the determining factor will be Montiel's chin. He can take better shots then Vic. If the fight would to happen it would be a toss up and I wouldn't be surprise in all 4 outcomes. decisions to kos either way. Their common opponent Z gorres gave both of them a hard time. Vic was able to hurt Gorres a lot easier while Montiel outboxed Gorres better. Vic knock gorres down 4 times which most ruled as a slip which was bs and made the match a draw. I had Montiel to win by 1-2 point margin but the ref deduct two points from Gorres without a warning.

This is a close match who do you think will win???

Yep I'll go with Montiel, he seems more durable than Mijares.

i had gorres winning against montiel while i have vic winning against gorres. both close fights though. montiel and vic are on impressive set of wins winning by stoppages. i agree that this is the fight to be made while donaire takes on arce whom i think has something left in the tank after he beats banal conqueror, concepcion.

this is a toss-up fight imo.

I'm taking Darch! I think he learnt a lot since the Doniare fight. Prior to that, Darch was a confidence fighter and never encountered a fighter he couldnt just walk down and clobber. He ineviatable found a dead end for that style in Doniare, be he has gone back to work and gained some technical attributes he was missing and reemerged as a smashing machine. Yeah, he lost, but that's how you learn and his return performances have simply been awesome - he has obliterated two world class opponents, including one who many were touting as 'the next big thing'. In his current form I would favour him to beat down anyone in the division.

Agreed.. If you ask me, I think Donaire is the best fighter around below 115/118 right now..

I view Montiel/Darchinyan as a 60/40 fight in favor of Montiel.. I wouldn't be surprised if Darch pulled out the win though.. I'd kind of want him to win too just so I can see him lose all his titles to Donaire in a rematch..

Vic beat Gorres only because Gorres faded in the latter rounds. This has been the trademark of ALA fighters, poor conditioning. AJ Banal was schooling Concepcion but also faded in the second half of the fight. This also happened to Boom boom.

If only Gorres had the conditioning to last 12 rounds, his skills would be a nightmare to anyone below 115.

Darchinyan made it clear he's willing to fight the man that beat him next and is aiming for Donaire next. No, he didn't make any of those laughable "YOU HAVE TO WAIT NOW THAT I AM BIG!" excuses like Margarito did after he beat Cotto, he lost to Donaire and HE is calling him out for a rematch with his TRUE/legitimate undisputed title on the line.
