forget fat unmotivated Fury - He is coming in looking stronger than ever

It's a sad state of affairs when the current HW champ is a stupid, clumsy fat oaf. He lucked out on a faded 40 yr old Wlad who took him lightly the first time. He's gonna take a brutal ass whipping on July 9th. Can't wait.

 

Good, then no excuses afterwards.

 

Apparently he is right on schedule, looking very very good, really sharp and punching as hard as he ever has.

There is a school of thought that winning a world title improves a fighter by as much as 10%, all to do with his confidence, self belief or sometimes the weight of expectation is lifted.

I think this is the case with Fury, I think we are going to see Wladimir knocked out.

 

'Looking stronger than ever', still looks like a blob to me. Obviously body shape doesn't win you a fight but people need to stop deluding themselves, fury is a pear shaped blob and he fights well like that, but he is never gonna look like he's in decent shape.

 

Fury looks awful, as he predicted.

 

I'm not sure I'd say he looks "very very good". We're talking about a professional athlete who has nothing to worry about aside from training. That said, he has dropped a lot of poundage from the press conference and will likely come in looking about the same as he did last time.

The key to this rematch is Wlad. Does he come out terrified again, or will he actually throw some punches this time around? While he isn't known to talk alot, he's been awful quite in the build up. I would love to see him KTFO Fury and retire.

 

There has been a few people saying Fury looks very good in the gym, far better than he did the first time around with Wladimir.

I agree with you on Wladimir, he has a lot going on with his wife in and out of rehab and a new baby, coming off his first defeat in nearly a decade and obviously he hasn't got the richly experienced Manny Steward to fall back and rebuild his fragile confidence.

Personally I hope Fury does a number on Wladimir, beats him to a pulp and I think he will do.

After all the strokes the Klitschko's pulled in Germany let's see how they get on in the UK with Fury and his huge family and ferocious support, I've got a feeling Wladimir will crumble before the fight.

 

I fear Wlad will not crumble from the audience or the occasion, but from utter disinterest. He almost feel asleep in presser. He started sentences, then didn't finish them. He looked like he had no intention of giving this fight much of a go. Then he repeats "I will knock you out" 5 times, yea that was convincing :rofl

And then Fury says he's fat and has no motivation.

Fury & Wlad will go down as the worst salesmen in boxing history. How to NOT sell a fight.

 

It wasnt that he was faded,or thst he took him lightly.it was the fact that he faced someone taller that he couldnt jab and grab and as always he was terrified of taking a punch.fury is no elite fighter,just a good one with the physical attributes that negate wlads style.joshua would bury fury,as would ortiz

 

You're clueless. Wlad never jabbed and grabbed taller fighters! Jefferson, Thompson, Wach, Pulev, Fury none of them he tried to clinch.

Has Fury ever really battered and beat anyone to a pulp before? He seems to prefer to path of less resistance and I can't say I blame him. If he can beat Wlad with his jab and movement, more power to him. But damn would be another snoozefest for the most coveted championship in boxing.

 

No one has known what the hell has been going on with Fury mentally over the last few months since the 2nd fight was signed. But that was the idea. 1st time round Vlad didnt have a clue how to handle Fury in the pressers and what not but was ready for it this time, but Fury came from a completely different angle this time and Vlad is in the same position he was in 1st time.

Infact Vlad thought he was ready at the pressers when he came up with the defense of women and benders and the big FUKK OFF statement to shut Fury up, that was his big thing to beat Fury at the pressers. But all he got was another 10 minutes of abuse from Tyson and some more questions from planted journalists.

Fury played him like a fool 1st time round and done exactly the same again.

 

I've noticed it, too.

That attitude, and the fact that he comes off as at least a touch crazy, yet knows what he's talking about and how to trigger a person, genuinely disarms people and gets in their heads.

He's not going to be easy to beat, and it's not just because he's a unique combination of size, handspeed, head movement, conditioning, and length. He's not brilliant, but he's brilliant at mind games and has a high boxing IQ.

Even before the first fight, when I was favoring Wlad, I thought Fury would be his toughest challenger. People judged him by earlier in his career when he lacked focus and clearly fought down to the opponents' level and assumed that was his peak, and that was a big mistake.

Love him or hate him, the dude's legit. The biggest X-factor is will he have the kind of discipline Wlad had to maintain his longevity and consistency fight in, fight out?
