no way fury would fight ortiz, but you are insane if you think wilder is any more likely to step up himself.

    Wilder don't duck nobody!

In fact, if the fight were in Cuba Wilder would fly to Florida and swim across the gulf to get there. :yep

Wlad should beat Fury in the re-match and Povetkin should beat Wilder. Joshua should beat Martin was well.

Bottom line the challengers are better than the champions and no one is going to want to fight Ortiz.

I'm sure they believe they should, but they won't.

    Fury beats Vlad again.
    Wilder destroys Povetkin.
    Martin beats Joshua.

Bottom line is Ortiz will be waiting to face one of them.
Fury will duck Ortiz. He don't want none of that.
Martin will probably offer a fight to Parker, and only Wilder will say to Ortiz, "OK, let's fight".

That is strange, considering that neither guy is very popular at the moment, and I doubt that Wilder vs. Ortiz has enough potential to become a mega fight.

Judged by the revenue, ratings, views and public interest, it is hard to imagine a true heavyweight mega fight in recent future without Klitschko/Fury or Joshua (if he beats Martin) involved.

Ortiz has been unable to break through 1 million views on HBO, and Wilder himself is not doing any better on Showtime. His biggest fight so far is set to happen in Russia and even that doesn't guarantee him the super-s****om.

LOL, you'll be 1-2 on those picks, possibly 0-3.

    Well spoken,mate!

Nobody has ever heard of Wilder outside his local ghetto. He is totally unknown outside the USA.
    Neither is Ortiz that known.
I cant really see how Wilder vs Ortiz puts the "division" back on the map.Daydreaming, the thread's creator:D

It's only strange to those who DKSAB.

 Nobody knows who Joshua is outside of the UK, and Povetkin, nobody can even spell his name. Povetkin who?

Wilder is much more well known than Joshua simply because of his better activity level, frequent free TV exposure, and the fact he dethroned Stiverne to gain the title 4 fights ago.

Wilder Vs Stiverne viewer numbers were 1.3M, the highest rated card on Showtime in 2 years.
If Wilder-Stivene draw 1.3M, than there's a good chance Wilder-Ortiz can equal or exceed that.

Fury hasn't broken the 1 milion viewer mark either. Vlad did, and guess what. Even with Vlad the HBO viewer numbers for Vlad-Fury were just 1.7M.

Wilder-Fury/Wilder-Ortiz would very likely exceed Klitscho-Fury.

Ortiz would not KO Wilder in 1 or 2. Geez...that's a stupid comment.
