Team Hatton has quashed rumours of fighting Isaac Hlatschwayo & look set to announce that american Juan Lazcano will be facing the Hitman at The Eastlands on May 24. This fight was scheduled for May 2006 but Juan pulled out & Hatton went on to face Luis Collazo at Welterweight instead.

    Even worst link than that:

Lazcano lost his last fight to Vivian Harris
Harris Lost his last fight to Junior Witter

So instead of facing the man everyone wants Ricky to fight, he is facing the man who lost to the man who lost to the man we want Ricky to fight :patsch

The problem is there are enough nuthuggers around which will make this fight huge. The British public need to vote with their money and stay away from this kind of pathetic match-up.

This is a ****ing shitty fight and Hatton should be lambasted for taking it. If ever there was any shadow of a doubt that Hatton is all about $$$ then this is it. He has five fights remaining, he should be jumping in with the best available in his weight class, he doesn’t need a confidence building fight, he lost to the best fighter in the world fighting above his natural weight, there’s no shame in that. Hatton is all about $$$.

I dont mind this fight, so long as he fights an elite fighter next. He did just fight the best fighter in the world in his last fight. I hope he fights witter after lazcano.
