Forget Loma, Jorge Linares beats Mikey Garcia

Think Linares would like to rebuild first rather than jump in with someone like Garcia.

People on here are way overeating Linares and just plan hates Mikey. Linares is a decent fighter but he is not something special.

 

What is it with u lot that constantly hark on about a fighters tiny number of losses? We are talking the best versions of fighter's not the worst.. What Linares has 3,4 losses???? What about his other 40 fights? Larios, Soto, Crolla, Juarez, Campbell, Gesta, Chavez., Diaz etc...

It's as reasonable as harking on about (to pump him up) the wins of a fighter who say has 4 wins & 30 losses lol

Demarco was losing that fight heavily. It was a comeback win, fighters can learn from such things & fighters can find thee feet at different stages of there careers like Linares did. Linares would destroy Demarco today IMO

Yes factor the losses in but see the bigger picture too.

WK, JLC, PAC, all great fighters.. All have losses to people they had no real business losing to! Even old Glen Johnson who was a great fighter on his best day has too many losses to count! He lost to scrub after scrub yet went onto be a great LHW of his era..

Sergio Martinez lost to Margarito early on, does that mean he doesn't best Pavlik, Williams??? No....

Citing a loss isn't as cut & dry as you think.. Styles, what stage of there career there at, manner of the loss etc... JL is a great technician that has flaws yes but he'll be a nightmare for Garcia.. Win or lose.

 

I usually agree with your threads but your bias is pushing through here. No way Linares can hang with Mikey and you know it.

Mikey looked “flat” against Easter because who wouldn’t at 135? Easter has a 6 inch reach advantage and was on his bike the entire fight. Just like Golovkin looked flat against Canelo on the bike. As soon as easter started exchanging with Garcia he was getting clipped. Had he chosen to fight, Mikey would’ve had him in a stretcher by the 5th.

Although I have Loma UD’ing Mikey, Mikey is the only real threat to Loma.
