He got worked over in that fight. Soto was hitting a lot of air. Guzman did cruise in the last few rounds though. In the first 9 rounds , there was very little in terms of running from Guzman. He was warming Soto up; he made it look easy.

I never said he didn't. The fact remains though, Guzman is now at 135 and fighting for a title. Meanwhile, Pac is now being matched with a SFW who got worked over by Guzman and hasn't beaten a credible opponent since. If Soto wasn't an Arum fighter, he wouldn't even be considered for a fight with Pac.

I won't be getting it. I still hope it doesn't bomb like the Diaz fight though.

Soto is a live underdog for sure but he'll suffer the same fate as the rest of the victims that fell at the hands of PAC. But it should be an exciting fight while it lasts. I say Soto gets caught by round 7, but Soto has his spots where he is in control. The speed and power will be the difference in the fight. One of the fights I wanted to see! Valero would have been a decent fight as well.

Wasn't Bobby Pacquiao getting in some good licks on Soto before Soto landed that body shot? If you're going to be a come foward, no defense fighter against Pac, you'd better be faster and/or a bigger puncher. I don't think Soto is either in comparison to Pac.

Actually Guzzy looked cautious as he should have, but he didnt land or throw anything really meaningful. His speed and craftiness allowed him to stay out of range from Soto and pot shot him all night. I wouldn't say he was running, but I wouldnt say he was fighting either. It looked more like a Sparring session where Guzman was trying to stay away with little meaningful offense.

Guzman was relatively aggessive for the first 9 rounds or so. It turned into sparring at the end.

Yes, Soto did a good job of breaking down off brand Pac. Doing the same to Manny will be a lot harder.

I dont like the fight, people will just say Pac is beating Guzman's leftovers.

but w/e, Soto deserves a payday and Pacman will add a decent name to his resume.

He wasn't real aggressive to me. He was throwing puches but off his back foot. Dont get me wrong....Guzzy is good but I think he was fighting a "safety first" fight with Soto. Guz didn't impress me.
