ITs because they think Pac is now the fastest boxer to ever live due to his performance against Diaz. Who is so so fast...
Just wait till they step in the ring and then compare the speed. Dont do it off of a David Diaz fight.

Soto is slow, did you people even watch the Lorenzo fight or are you all still blindly mad at the outcome to even care about the fight itself. Soto gets frustrated with versatility, hes the same fighter he was against Guzman, no changes at all.

Watch it again. You will see that Soto got hit off of counters by Guzman whos defense was on point that night. Do you think Pac is gonna go in a shell and pot shot Soto??
No they are gonna trade and even with Soto being slower he will land.
Not to mention if he uses the jab he will nullify Pacs attack.

FITZ is just mad because Valero might not be getting the fight now.
Fitz Valero is nothing. Have him fight Juarez then at least you can say he is a decent fighter.
Mosquera does not cut it for me.

Valero is a bum so far. Until he steps up and beats names we can recognize or pronounce.

Valero is not a bum ... he's a world champion who has made successful defenses of his strap ...

Not to mention he has speed and power --

A little bit disappointed on this development, if I were Pac.

This is what you call a real low risk, low reward, much more than the Valero fight. Atleast against Valero, Pac can have the bragging rights that he would be the first one to crush the Valero myth.

While against Soto, what will he get? A dangerous boxer who can have a stylistic advantage over him but who has been beaten before. What would be the reward for him for that?

There is always the one he is avoiding. JMM.
Dont bring the whole country thing here. I hate when Philipinos do that...

He'll get a "Good job, now fight Guzman" reaction from his critics

I think he would get more credit than beating an overhyped Valero.
Im pretty sure alot of people would give him more credit than the Diaz fight if there was even credit to be given.

A waste of time on their view then.

Valero would have been the perfect stay busy fight for him while waiting either for Hatton or Campbell/Guzman or Casa/JMM or Diaz/Katsidis winner: an unbeaten champion with a reputation of being a sick KO puncher.

IMO, Soto is a solid challenge but compare to Valero and what can they bring to Pac's resume, I prefer the latter.

    How is Valero better????
Im sure if Soto fought the same 24 people that Valero fought he would have KOd them too.

You are just riding the hype...

Obviously you don't like Joan Guzman to say something like "Guzman ran away from him the whole fight", that actually could'nt be further from the truth because in those early rounds Guzman actually stood his ground with Soto that even surprised the HBO commentators, yes he did coast in the last couple of rounds but he did'nt run from Soto the whole fight, he won that fight clearly and effectively.
