Forget the controversy, this fight was a beautiful thing

I don't quite understand the talk of Taylor being out of it or without any idea of where he was. He looks completely shocked and upset when Steele calls the fight off. Taylor was definitely very hurt, and I don't know why he doesn't respond immediately (He sort of barely nods. Maybe Duva distracted him and his head was spinning).

I mean, he can't react to the ref but reacts to his decision and people are convinced that he was out. Doesn't make complete sense. He should've taken a step forward, and should've complied. Maybe I'm wrong and he couldn't. The moment might've just gotten to him.

Because they're being pussies and assuming that Taylor was on the verge of death in the next 7 seconds, like he would have no idea how to move or grab.

****ing sickening to see this kind of robbery be cheered as some sort of favor to taylor when he worked his ass off for that win.

Someone was waving a towel, think it was his trainer. I'm going by memory. Taylor isn't looking at the ref when he should be, he's trying to see what's happening at the side of the ring. That's really what costed him the fight. He looked finish and without that camera angle he looks like he can't respond.

Slight correction, Taylor looked shell-shocked right before and after the stoppage. Good but obviously controversial call by Steele.

Duva jumped on the aapron like an idiot and distracted Taylor, so obviously taylor could shift his focus and recognize what was going on.

Watch steele jump in like a hawk at the end. He wanted to make sure Don King's mexican money bag was going to go up in value.

:patsch oh ok...well...i'll just use the same evidence you're using and go ahead and say that all blacks and whites in the history of boxing have been caught cheating over and over again.

His face seems to cringe in shock more with the camera pan when Steele waves the fight off. Like he's at a realization of whats happening.

And he looked lost as hell when Steele motioned him forward.

A huge sign that you might not be in the fight at that moment.:deal

If Taylor was getting dominated for 12 rounds with several Knockdowns...It would make total sense to STOP THE FIGHT!!! But it was obvious to EVERYONE IN THE AREA that Taylor was winning this fight even with Chavez becoming a Monster in the later rounds.

No many what fighter you are a fan of or whether you agree or disagree with the stoppage...THE FIGHT WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED FOR THE CONTROVERIAL ENDING RATHER THAN A GREAT TITLE FIGHT...PERIOD, POINT BLANK!!!
And what adds to the Hypocrisy is the recent fight between Cotto vs Pacquiao. So many people were posting threads at the disgust of Kenny Bayless...saying that Bayless should never be allowed to Ref again in the sport, because he stopped the fight AND DIDN'T ALLOW COTTO TO LOSE BY DECISION in a fight he was obviously losing and taking a HELL-A-FIED ASS-WHOOPING. Yet everyone has no problem with a stoppage in the last 5 seconds of a fight in which Taylor was OBVIOUSLY WINNING!!!

What part of TKO is giving you such a hard time.:huh

In boxing, any fighter can be KO'd in the last seconds of the fight and even a total schooling becomes a moot point.:deal

Taylor was day dreaming, Referee had not other choice, a couple of more hard shots and Taylor could have suffered mental damage.. Since he was still Ko'ed Chavez would have KO'ed him again... Ref was protecting from that.

    Good job.

The beatings he took in fights and in the gym, the jump in weight, and poor managerial decisions destroyed Taylor's career.
